Purchased it with the prescribed wiring harnesses to connect to my 2003 non-nav JBL amp powered Lexus GX470. Amp harness has a blue/white wire to signal the amp when it needs to power up but it's not entirely clear where to connect it to the head unit wiring harness. Usually the antenna (ANT) lead is a good option because on most head units it's always putting out 12v. However, on many of these Android Auto head units it only sends that 12v signal when the RADIO app is running, otherwise it's dead and you get no sound from the HU. So instead of connecting to the ANT wire, connect to the ACC wire.
Other than that, i tnstalls pretty easily and the device runs Android as well as can be expected with these specs. The Launcher/UI it ships with is pretty awful and the only way to switch the units from KMH to MPH is loading a different launcher via APK. Other launchers like Nova or CarWebGuru are decent replacements, but it's Android and there's thousands of ways to do things. I'm probably going to return the unit I have in lieu of a more powerful device. I had a Joying head unit in an older 4Runner that was ok, but it's limitations made me miss a normal HU. This one does not. It powers up almost instantly and connects to BT without a hitch (so far).
Only other problem is it sounds awful, and I have potato ears from years of shows without hearing protection, so I barely care but woof it just sounds like butt.
